WED. SEP. 8/2004/23:58 E.S.T.
I was just informed that 1 of my RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE™ costumes is currently being auctioned off on EBAY™ in support of a charity called FIND THE CHILDREN™, which recovers missing children & provides them with psychotherapy once they have been returned from their abductors.
Because I was abducted away from my adoptive parents when I was 11, I feel especially pleased about this news, which would have been exciting anyway, since it marks the first time that a costume of mine has been placed on public auction.

You were NUMBER SIX! Too funny, Mister Drake. THU. SEP. 9/2004/19:26 E.S.T. TOPPER,
If you carry on like that, you might find yourself in danger, man!
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&
LADYTASS,
Thank you; likewise. So mote it be..
If their experiences are anything like mine, they will need all the help available to them in order to re-adjust, since the trauma tends to be worsened the younger he/she was @ the time of their abduction. I have read accounts wherein children’s entire personalities & identities have been erased by their abductors, along with the various sexual & physical abuses that can be visited upon them.

I firmly believe that people who abduct children should be treated in kind by the prison inmates they end up sharing their cells with. I do not understand how someone could take a child from his/her home and put them through that kind of terror and mental abuse. How did you deal with it,as an abductee yourself?

LADYTASS,
I am not going to disagree with your assessment of what might be just punishment for such people, although in the case of paedophiliacs & kiddy pornographers, it might be a trifle, um...lenient.
The difficulty comes when one considers how many such abductions are instigated/executed by the blood relatives of these children, each & every 1 of whom thinks & feels themselves to be justified in disrupting their progeny's lives in irreparable ways, allegedly "for their own good".
@ the time, I was so busy engaging in the act of attempting to survive the situation & attempting to extricate myself from it that I did not realise consciously that I was engaging in violent conflict @ school, where I went virtually overnight from being an Honour Student (except for Arithmetic/Mathematics!) to someone who was in danger of being sent to Borstal.
I “dealt with it” by hanging firmly onto the Ethics & Morality that my adoptive parents had instilled in me, & by asking myself *every day* whether I was making decisions that would bring shame upon them or that would exalt & honour them & their lives (which are ongoing, I’m happy to report!) I would take my own life rather than embarrass them in any way.

Considering the way the inmates are treated in the American Penal system(and usually by the other inmate's) I am not too sure Leniency is what I would call it(not that they deserve leniency in any way) especially the one's who do things to kids they are usually "singled out" for "special" treatment by the inmates. From what I have heard the treatments are usually worse than the crimes.

LADYTASS,
Yes, I did, actually, since I have known of SWORD IN THE STONE CRAFTS™ (leather props & costumes!) since first I encountered them @ a Renaissance Festival, & have been a very satisfied customer of theirs ever since, more than willing to give infomercial testimonial, should that day ever come.
If you visit THE SHOOTING GALLERY, you can see an example of Roman Legionary/GLADIATOR™-style epaulettes that MR. ADAM SMITH designed & built, as well as THE STARHUNTER™ COAT from Season 2 of that series, which is now part of MR. SMITH’S personal collection.
I wear & carry examples of SWORD IN THE STONE CRAFTS™ (leather props & costumes!) workmanship on most days of the week, & it is my intent to become able to commission a coat of my own, 1 day soon.

I see the costume has sold for $124.05 US. That's excellent! And what a great charity to donate the funds too, as I also was the victim of a violent abduction/rape when I was 12. I didn't get the help I needed and was, shall we say, not entirely sane for years afterward. I would very much like to hear the details of your story someday, Malcolm. You know my email address... Luv, Kel

KJC,
Acknowledged, thanks for the intel! Quite a respectable leap, given the amount it was when first I learned of the auction.
I’m sorry to read that you had to undergo such an ordeal, & I hope that it was not @ the hands of someone whom you trusted & who was known to you personally. I always find it remarkable that anyone can ever trust someone else, ever again, after having been violated on so many different levels. I am pleased that you have managed to achieve a level of reparation & recovery that has enabled you to be able to mention it in a public forum, as I think that the feeling of alienated isolation is 1 that can make it seem as though nobody else could possibly understand what one has suffered.
Acknowledged, wilco.

LADYTASS,
Acknowledged, thanks for the intel!
I know that acquisition was of especial worth to ADAM SMITH of SWORD IN THE STONE CRAFTS™ (fine leather props & costumes), so I am pleased to learn that the transaction was worked out between him & the vendor to their mutual satisfaction.

Hi Malcolm! I've been lurking for a while while and figured I should finally register as a user . Yes, the wardrobe was deeply covetted by myself, and I'm pleased it will be comig closer to home where it may be displayed at venues during your public appearances (like Toronto Trek). BTW, it is confirmed; I will be building a wide selection of weapons harnesses and gear for George Romero's "Land of the Dead"! A large portion of the gear will be worn and used by John Leguizamo, whom I shall have the pleasure of meeting and fitting sometime in the next two weeks. cheers, Adam
