Annually, since 2006, I have vainly hoped to inspire a grand Malcolm party through this forum. An extended wake. Like Burton Day without the costumes. Hasn’t happened yet. Probably never will. So be it.
Come. Don't come. I'll be there. I'll always manage to be there.
September 13th at J J Plaus Park in Mississauga, 16:10 (4:10 PM) – approximately 50 meters south along the pier at the water's edge. Drinks to follow at The Snug Harbour Seafood Bar and Grill.

Hi Richard,
Malcolm's been on my mind more this year than most, for reasons that escape me. Maybe I want to share with him things I've been up to, as it's been an eventful year, and one I think he'd enjoy... who knows.
I'm working a fulltime film gig this year and won't be able to come by (it's Resident Evil 5, and maybe that's it.. I helped Malcolm get his zombie gig on RE2 in 2003).
I could likely make it by 5:45 - 6:00 or so if you're still going to be there to hoist a pint. LMK: spike@ica.net

Hey there Adam, I can certainly see how working on Resident Evil 5 would inspire thoughts of MX. I’ve still got a continuity Polaroid snap somewhere of him in makeup for RE2. I’ll say you’ve had an interesting year. I saw you on TV a few weeks ago. Love the top hat. Hope to see you at the Snug around six. I’m certain that Gaz and I will still be there. RTW

5 years back, in the fall of '06, I wrote a song about Malcolm's passing called "Laughed Until We Cried" that Richard has been encouraging me to finish up and post here since then. He and I worked on embellishing my original demo from back then late last fall, and decided to post it this year, which I would have done a bit sooner than the Day, had I not managed to break a leg bone in this year's pre-observance. Ironically, I am now NOT working on 9/13, but still can't come to Snug Harbour as I live in Cambridge and can't drive until the cast comes off. At any rate, the song, and more info about it, can be found here: www.colinhalyk.com/laugheduntil.htmlif there's any difficulty with obtaining it there, it can also be found here: www.reverbnation.com/colinhalyk#! Please use with caution. Somewhat strong stuff. Colin

A month away to the seventh year date... who's on Facebook? Perhaps a closed group there could work well. There's one or two there that I'd like to invite to 9/13.
best, Adam
