FL,
I appreciate your willing readiness to make a transcontinental journey to support my work; however, during this rehearsal, I have not been having fun, so I am currently hardpressed to grasp how the final product will be perceived as such. transcontinental? i hope you're jokeing! i live in windsor, it's a four hour drive if I stop to pee. I gotta go farther to visit my folks. if i can find a friendly couch to crash on one weekend in june i'll be up there.

The interview was for NOW™ Magazine, & was dominated by ACTRESS, who barely stopped to breathe unless the interviewer went out of his way to point his tape recorder away from her in my direction, instead.
S.M. had not mentioned that she would be in on it as well, so I had taken it that since she had had a solo interview already, mine would have been, as well.
The photo' session for same takes place today @ 12:00 E.S.T.

The photographer was a very pleasant woman who reminded me very much of some of my favourite teachers, & she invited input from us about what backgrounds to have in the shots.
ACTRESS gave the impression that she would rather have been extracting her toenails with hot pliers than be anywhere near me if she could possibly help it, so I shall be surprised if any element of fun finds its way into the material chosen for publication.
The photograph(s) & interview will be published in the next issue of NOW™ Magazine.

Damn her, I say! Damn her to Hell! KJC

That's very kind of you to say, but I have made no effort to "seduce" anyone in the workplace, as I learned very early on that whenever one's personal life becomes grist for the gossip mill, then one's employers begin taking liberties on the basis of what they *assume* to be the nature of one's relationship with another employee, or on the basis of what that employee wishes them to believe.

I don't know for certain about its availability outside Toronto, but there is definitely an online resource.

Gang, I was hit with two very pleaseant surprises this afternoon and I want to share it with you all. #1. I just found out that a letter I wrote has been published in the summer edition of Canadian Screenwriter magazine (see mag cover on left/article on right). Below is the letter (which was edited due to space limitations) "My God, that's hideous!"
That was my first reaction when I opened up the envelope containing my Spring 2005 edition of Canadian Screenwriter magazine and saw the scrappy-looking, super-saturated cover photo of the cast of Stargate: Atlantis, plus showrunners Brad Wright and Robert Cooper. Then I read the letter from the editor, Philip Moscovitch, which stated that the cover, created by art director Nancy Reid, was intentionally made to look like all those cheesy SF pulp novels my dad kept in a box in the basement when I was a kid. Well done, indeed!
I also greatly enjoyed reading the article by Vern Smith about Canadians writing and working in the world of SF, which is a subject very close to my heart, as I am currently developing my own fantasy TV series for the Canadian market. And this leads me to good news #2... If you read the article you'll see it features an interview with Alex Epstein, head writer of Charlie Jade. Alex has recently become a friend of mine and, today, he referred me to a production company in Montreal that might be interested in developing my TV series . Well, he was right, they are. I just got an email from their head of dev and he wants to see my proposal. I'm having a great day! KJC (who still has Mal on her list for a major role)

First of all, congratulations, love! It’s good to read that one’s candour can be appreciated in print, & that editorial selection is not based on a knee-jerk reaction to what might first appear to be negative criticism.
What were the circumstances of your meeting ALEX EPSTEIN, then?
Montreal is a favourite city of mine, so I shall be keep as many of my digits entwined on your behalf as I can, while still managing to type. It's good to see that the apathy is not a blanket phenomenon in this nation, & I hope they tell you what you want to hear.
Again, I am honoured that you retain me in mind for your programme.
