MX, Congratulations! So, do you have any of the FSQ TT18 booklets left? If you do this could be a great chance for people who missed getting them at Toronto Trek!

LADYTASS,
Thanks, love!
Given that my own interests as a collector are so specific, I don’t anticipate that I shall require much in the way of shopping time, but I hope to find myself presented with challenging questions by the patrons over the course of the day, & I shall be sure to obtain pix, of course!

It was good day. Malcolm answered most of my questions regarding Finnegan's Squad without giving too much away As well we had a lively discussion comparing the orignal PunisherTM to the remake. Our views matched each other identically, although, I think Malcolm just may watch both PunisherTM movies again after my critic of Thomas Jane's performance with that of Dolph Lundgren (sp?)

SIRONA,
I was very glad to see you again yesterday, & very much enjoyed our "Intimate & Interactive" interface, despite the absence of GUINNESSTM.
I’m pleased that I was able to be of some use to you with regard to FINNEGAN’S SQUAD™; your comments & questions were certainly stimulating & provocative, so much so that I revisited the FSQ™ CHARACTERS page, & came away with new insights about them (& the underlying theme of the series) that had previously not occurred to me, then got on the blower with GAZ about them, earlier today, which led to a discussion over an hour in duration, which proved useful & informative to us both.
You certainly gave me much to consider about THE PUNISHER™ (1989) with MR. DOLPH LUNDGREN as compared to THE PUNISHER™ (2004) with THOMAS JANE, so I shall redouble my efforts to obtain a DVD copy of the latter, with an eye toward doing a back-to-back viewing of each.

SUN. SEP. 26/2004/14:15 E.S.T.
I was the Special Guest @ The 4th Hansa Haus Toys & Collectibles Convention in Brampton, Ontario yesterday (45 min. N.W. of Toronto), where I met & interacted with SF fandom, signed autographs & was photographed.
I was surprised to encounter a bloke who posts under the name FRANCIS7 about LOGAN'S RUNTM in another domain, but even more surprised to find that he has a daughter! (Virtual Reality & Real Life are sometimes utterly incongruous with one's expectations & imagination, but that is half the fun of Cyberspace!)
I also had the experience of meeting a bloke to whom I had delivered newspapers in childhood, & who was utterly staggered by the fact that I had recognised him & recalled the name of the street on which he had lived @ that time, but also more than a little embarrassed that he could not place me, in turn.
Being that the event was sponsored by The German-Canadian Club, their hospitality was quite different than what I had come to expect of such gatherings, for as soon as noontime arrived, I was served a bottomless glass of “German draught beer”, the name of which I was not able to learn from my hosts.
I was also offered quite a substantial meal, but I did not feel comfortable tucking into a plate of schnitzel while on duty, despite being able to rationalise that MESSRS. RICHARD BURTON, OLIVER REED, RICHARD HARRIS, PETER O’TOOLE, SAMMY DAVIS JR. & DEAN MARTIN had managed without any difficulty whatsoever!
When SIRONA arrived, it was literally as though the sun had broken through, for she looked radiant, feminine & utterly @ ease with the effect she was having upon all the males present in the room, all of whom were afflicted with the sudden desire to be me for a day.
Curiously, before she came on the scene, there had been virtually no interest shown in what I was there to promote, but once she left, there was an influx of enthusiastic interest from people who wanted signed, dated autographs, who posed eager questions about the
The posters promoting the event had photographs taken of me @ TORONTO TREK 18 by 1 of the vendors who had attended the FINNEGAN’S SQUAD™ panel on which I had sat with Series Creator/Executve Producer GARY DAVIDSON.
When the event was over, I was given a THUNDERBIRDS™ jigsaw puzzle of THUNDERBIRD 3™ that I had been admiring, for it was the very same 1 that I had been given by my adoptive parents when I was a lad in Manchester!
I stopped by the TITAN-RAINBOW Media Productions™ editing suite on the way home, where I was given a sneak preview of the FSQ™: “SHUTTLEDOWN” rough cut that had not yet had been augmented by the soundtrack/score.
I was also shown the new editing suite that had been used to assemble a side project that I had worked on last week, & found myself utterly impressed by its technological capability.
I bought dinner for Producer TRUDIE & GAZ @ a Caribbean restaurant, & they in turn provided me with COCA-COLA™ & KILKENNY™ that complemented the curried beef roti that I had chosen for my own “breakfast” (for I had not taken sustenance that day, aside from the German beer I had drunk on an empty stomach!)
During that meal, we discussed how best to pitch the finished edit to prospective broadcasters, then GAZ gave me a lift to show me the warehouse in which he would like to shoot the remainder of the series, extolling the virtues of its location, all of which sounded quite appealing.
I hope to see his dream come true with a syndication deal!

Glad to hear you had such a great time at the Hansa Haus event, Malcolm. Sorry I couldn't make it.
And I'm also pleased to hear that things are moving along nicely with the editing of SHUTTLEDOWN. I very much look forward to seeing the finished project.

KJC,
Thanks, love, I appreciate that. Given that you are located in Ottawa, I would have been *shocked* if the planets had aligned in such a way that you were able to attend, so don’t give it another thought, please!
I hope that our work lives up to your & others’ expectations once it is finished.

SIRONA,
Your “intention” was blessing enough, with all else being boni.
You are entirely welcome.

Are my copyrighted photographs being violated once again, or was there some other vendor at T-Trek that attended the panel and took pics of you at that event? . I'm sorry I missed the event, Malcolm! I had every intention of doing so on Saturday, but come Sunday it escaped my mind entirely until it was too late. cheers, Adam

ADAM,
No, they were not your own pix, otherwise I would have informed you of that development.
I appreciate your willingness & readiness to do so, but I am certain that you were where you should have been @ that time, so FUGEDDABOUDIT!
…Er, that is to say…um, well….
